Baby Bok Choy with Mushroom

Description

An easy Chinese style baby Bok Choy recipe. Simply omit the oyster sauce for vegetarian/vegan preparation.

 

Tips

Make sure to wash the baby bok choy properly, it may have hidden soil at the bottom of the stem/stalk

Ingredients

1/2 tbs Cooking oil
Baby Bok Choy (2 bunches)
1 tbs Minced garlic
5-6 Cremini mushroom (sliced)
1 tbs Soy sauce
1 tbs Oyster sauce (omit for vegetarian/vegan option)
1 cup water
Salt (optional)

Directions

In a large pot, boil some water with salt for blanching

Blanch the baby bok choy stems in boiling water for 10 minutes

In a separate pan, heat some oil on high heat

Add minced garlic and let it brown slightly

Add the soy sauce, oyster sauce, water and sliced mushrooms

Bring the mixture to boil

Arrange the blanched baby bok choy on a plate and pour the mushroom sauce on top
